The Smile of My Lord

I want you to be happy, always happy in the Lord; I repeat, what I want is your happiness. Let your gentleness be evident to everyone:  the Lord is very near.  There is no need to worry; but if there is anything you need, pray for it, asking God for it with prayer and thanksgiving, and that peace of God, which is so much greater than we can understand, will guard your hearts and your thoughts, in Christ Jesus.

Phil 4:4-7

This warmth, always around me even when I just think of it completes my existence, my survival.  Lord, how near You are to me.  In darkness You never fail to give me light.  How can a life of misery, of nothingness, of lowliness, of dirt, of stench, remain oblivious to the poorest?  Are those true laughter, honest smiles and real faith?  Poverty is not a curse but to those who remain unaffected, a given means for abundance in eternity.
