For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.
James 3:16 4:1-2
Often we do not know what is important, temptation, the might of the senses is overwhelming, appetite can dictate judgment. What have we done? Dear God, please never look away from us. Fill me with Your thoughts that I may never succumb for what I will regret after.
