Elegant Sham

Slums look dirty, seems smelly, an eyesore but its home to some.  People who do not have the means to live somewhere else, others stay on sidewalks, under bridges, or in tents because their homes were destroyed.  Then there are those who have beautiful houses, or numbers of houses in wherever they put their feet up.   Jesus said, "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God".   Filth and stench won't char make my soul, opulence and glitters can.  May I see where true beauty is, from the clean and dirty.

Mark 7:1-2, 5, 14-23

The Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus, and they noticed that some of His disciples were eating with unclean hands.  So they asked Him, "Why do your disciples not respect the tradition of the elders but eat their food with unclean hands?  Jesus called the people to him and said, "Listen to me , all of you, and understand.  Nothing that goes into a man from outside can make him unclean; it is the things that come out of a man that make him unclean.  For it is from within, from men's hearts, that evil intentions emerge:  fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, pride, folly.  All these evil things come from within and make a man unclean.
